Now, this church is a little different than the Episcopal that I grew up in. They are WAY more layed back than my church, and in someways it's really nice, and in other ways, it is certainly taking some getting used to. I think that the main factors in us staying are Edith and Byron.
Though Byron is in the nursery, we know and trust Dana, the nursery person. She went to our last church with us, and has known Byron since the day he was born. There were many Sundays that I would go and get him from the nursery, and he would be sound asleep on her chest. I trusted her then, and I trust her now!
The other factor in the decision to possibly stay here is that they have a kids time at the front of the church where they all sit in a circle in front of the pastor, and he talks to them about Jesus, God and their blossoming Faith in the Lord. This is so important to us, and so precious to be allowed to watch as a bystander. Watching her run up to the front of the church, sit next to the pastor and answer his questions like she is the only one he is talking to is so precious to me. This warms my heart.
I promised more scrapbook stuff, so here is a one page Layout of my Aunt Edith, who passed away Thanksgiving morning, 2000. We named our daughter after her. I miss Edith with all my heart, but I see her everyday in my Edith.
All scrapbook papers used are from Close to My Heart.
